Let Me Be Insane
Too often people see hoping and believing and having faith for a better future as weakness, an inability to accept reality. When really it’s the exact opposite. “Accepting reality” is the easiest thing in the world. Trusting in what you see, what others tell you, and how you feel comes naturally, and giving into what is bad but easy is weakness. It takes a tremendous amount of strength to hope in spite of how you are feeling, an extraordinary degree of tenacity to reject the constant bombardment of negative reports; and it requires a deep humility to have faith, because real faith begins when you’ve come to the end of yourself.
